This immense economic prosperity has been fueled by decades of good policy, creating a business-friendly environment where our low tax climate enables people to keep more of their hard-earned money and live a life of abundance.

Texas has 6.2 million K-12 students, yet less than half of them is reading or doing math at grade level by the 4th or 8th grade. Hundreds of thousands of Texas students are trapped in failing public schools, limiting their potential and jeopardizing the future of our state. Texas students are the future, and they must be given every opportunity to succeed.

Securing the Texas border is essential for the safety of our state and our nation’s prosperity. By enhancing border security, we can combat illegal immigration, human trafficking, and drug smuggling, thereby protecting Texans and ensuring national security. 

The Biden Administration’s excessive regulations and delays in permitting are suffocating the oil and gas industry, raising energy costs for Texas households by 26% and halting progress in energy innovation. Since April 2024, over 1 million new words of federal energy regulations have been imposed, leading to higher prices and fewer jobs. These regulations jeopardize Texas’ leadership in energy production and stifle the growth of cleaner, more efficient energy. 

While Texas is known for its immense economic prosperity, our healthcare system still faces challenges that, if addressed, can make freedom even BIGGER in Texas. Hospitals are being reimbursed three times the rate of private practices for providing the same services. This preferential treatment is distorting the marketplace, leading to higher costs for patients and enabling hospitals to buy out private practices, and driving up costs.
