The Freedom is Bigger in Texas campaign is committed to creating an economy that works for all Texans by promoting fiscal responsibility and limited spending. Key initiatives include banning taxpayer-funded lobbying, reforming the use of certificates of obligation and tax anticipation notes, redefining Voter-Approval Tax Rate Elections (VATRE) for greater transparency, implementing local government spending caps, and reforming property taxes to provide relief for families and businesses.

These efforts aim to ensure efficient use of taxpayer dollars, prevent excessive debt, and foster a sustainable, prosperous economic environment in Texas.

Education is Bigger in Texas

Education looks different for each child. Students and families should be trusted to make decisions about their education. Texas should fund the child, not the system.

Texas has 6.2 million K-12 students. Less than half of them can read or do math at grade level by the 4th or 8th grades. Hundreds of thousands of Texas students are trapped in their assigned public schools which are designated by the state as “failing.” Texas students are the future of our state and must be given every opportunity to succeed.

Securing Texas

Securing the Texas border is essential for the state’s and nation’s safety. Strengthening border security helps combat illegal immigration, human trafficking and more. A well-secured border attracts businesses, driving Texas’ economic development even more.

Securing the Texas border is crucial not only for the state but for the entire nation. By bolstering border security, Texas can effectively combat illegal immigration, human trafficking, and drug smuggling, thereby enhancing national security. Moreover, a secure border fosters economic growth by instilling confidence in investors and businesses, ultimately increasing Texas’ competitiveness in the global market. Additionally, prioritizing public safety through comprehensive border security measures ensures the well-being of both Texans and those seeking refuge within its borders.

Powering Texas

Texas stands as a leader in energy production and innovation. To support the growing population and industrial needs, Texas must utilize its vast resources in advocating for investment-friendly policies and diversifying energy production methods.

Freedom is Bigger in Texas and so is Energy!  Texas leads the nation in energy production and energy innovation, and we are just getting started.  The Lone Star State produces nearly twice as much as the next highest producing state with the Permian Basin in West Texas producing more oil and gas than Saudi Arabia.

To meet the increasing capacity needs of an expanding population, cutting edge technology and re-industrialization, we will need to utilize our prolific natural resources and unequaled entrepreneurs.

Healthcare Accessibility and Affordability

Our healthcare system is complicated. Our personal option agenda is designed to lower costs to patients, increase access, and require more transparency. These reforms will make healthcare more affordable and straightforward by eliminating unnecessary barriers standing in between patients and their doctors.

Better access to better care at a price you can afford. The healthcare system that we currently have is expensive, complicated, and puts too many barriers between patients and their doctors. Our Personal Option agenda will empower parents, remove red tape, hold hospitals accountable and ensure that Texans have access to great doctors and prices they both know and can afford.

Housing Texas

It’s no secret that Texas has become a destination for workers and families. To help with the housing options, Texas should advocate for free market housing reforms to boost housing supply to meet the growing demand.

With 1,000+ people moving to Texas every day, the demand for housing options is currently outpacing supply, leading to ever-climbing prices. To address this issue, we can keep freedom bigger in Texas by focusing on free-market housing reforms to increase the supply of housing to meet the demand.

Committee on Stupid Rules

Texas has become one of the most business-friendly states across the country. To continue its progress, Texas needs to end excessive red tape, redundant occupational licenses and “pay to play” fees that makes it hard to be a business owner.

Freedom is Bigger in Texas and so is new business development and corporate relocation! “Texas is where businesses flourish and people prosper” and yet there are still obstacles holding people back.  Our teams and ambassadors will work to end excessive red tape, redundant occupational licenses and “pay to play” fees that make it harder to start/run a business, hire workers or become employed.
