As we close out an incredible year, one thing is clear: freedom is bigger in Texas – because Texans showed up, spoke out, and delivered real results.
Thanks to the work of our incredible staff, activists and volunteers, this year’s legislative session produced transformational policy reforms that will shape the future of our state for generations. Together, we secured a historic victory by passing the country’s largest day one school choice program, expanded housing opportunity, and advanced healthcare reforms that put patients first.
But our impact didn’t start or stop at the Capitol.
This year, our digital engagement efforts amplified our message like never before – reaching more than 30 million people online. Through strategic storytelling, rapid response, and targeted outreach, we connected Texans across the state to the policies shaping their lives and empowered them to take action.
All year long, our volunteers and staff met Texans where they are, hosting community events across the state to engage, educate, and train citizens to take part in the legislative process. From first-time advocates to seasoned grassroots leaders, Texans stepped up and made their voices heard.
One of the year’s defining efforts was our work to unleash Texas energy. Under the leadership of our Coalitions Director, we brought policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders into the same room for candid, solutions-driven conversations. What we heard during those roundtables sparked something bigger than Texas, helping launch a nationwide push for permitting reform to cut red tape and unlock American energy dominance.
After session, we hit the road.
The Freedom Unleashed Tour celebrated our historic legislative victories and rallied Texans around the next big fight: property tax reform. Over the summer, we launched a historic effort to train and mobilize citizens to engage their local city councils – demanding responsible government and real relief for taxpayers.
While many local governments heard us, too many refused to listen. So, we are taking the fight to the next level.
We partnered with Governor Greg Abbott to advance a bold property tax reform package that will overhaul a broken system and finally make it work for taxpayers. Now, we’re traveling the state with the Governor, taking this message straight to Texans and rallying support for this plan.
Meanwhile, our volunteers have been knocking on doors, listening to families, small business owners, and talking about the strain of rising property taxes. One message came through loud and clear:
Texans are ready for change.
As we head into the new year, we are stronger than ever – with unmatched momentum, a trophy case of policy victories, and a grassroots army ready for the next stage of the fight for Texas. We are prepared to engage in the political process to defend policy champions and continue shaping the makeup of the Texas Legislature.
The fight for a freer Texas has only just begun.
