DESCRIPTION:Community Budget Watch: San Antonio FY 2027 Budget Presentation\nREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED\nJoin Americans for Prosperity for our Community Budget Watch as we attend the City of San Antonio’s presentation of the proposed FY 2027 Budget. \nThis is a valuable opportunity to witness how the city’s budget process begins\, learn how public funds are allocated\, and demonstrate that community members are paying attention to decisions that affect our neighborhoods. \nParking\nThe most convenient public parking is the City Tower Parking Garage\, located in the 100 block of North Main Avenue\, just a short walk from Municipal Plaza. \nThe City often provides parking validation for visitors attending City Council meetings\, so please bring your parking ticket with you. Additional paid parking is available in nearby downtown garages and surface lots. \nWhat to Expect\nPlease meet the AFP group at 8:30 a.m. outside the Council Chambers. We will enter together before the meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. \nDuring the presentation\, our role will be to observe\, listen\, and learn about the proposed FY 2027 Budget. We will not be speaking or providing public testimony at this event. \nAttendees are asked to remain respectful of the meeting process and follow all City Council rules and decorum. \nWhy Your Presence Matters\nWhat to Bring\nBring a notebook or electronic device for taking notes\, along with a bottle of water if desired. Business casual attire is encouraged. \nLunch Following the Presentation\nAfter the budget presentation\, AFP will host a group lunch at a nearby downtown restaurant. This will be a great opportunity to discuss our observations\, ask questions\, share what we learned\, and connect with fellow volunteers. \nWe hope you’ll join us for this important first step in following San Antonio’s FY 2027 budget process. \nLunch will be provided by AFP
