SUMMARY:Schertz\, TX: Day of Action
DESCRIPTION:📣 Join Us for a Day of Action in Schertz\, TX! \nWe’re hitting the ground to make sure Schertz residents are informed about the upcoming school bond election—and we’d love your help! \n🗳️ On Saturday\, May 2nd\, voters will weigh in on a $295.1 million bond for SCUC ISD. Many families aren’t even aware it’s on the ballot—or how it could impact their property taxes. Let’s change that. \n💬 Why It Matters:\nLocal bond debt = taxpayer responsibility. This is our chance to help neighbors understand what’s at stake and have their voices heard.  This bond could directly impact property taxes and long-term financial obligations for residents across Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD. \n📅 Event Details:\n🗓 Sunday\, April 19th\n⏰ 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM\n📍 Biscuit House – Schertz\n📌 3900 FM3009 #101\, Schertz\, TX 78154 \n☀️ Game Plan:\nWe’ll kick things off with breakfast together\, then head out to connect with the community. Water and refreshments will also be provided. \n📊 What’s on the Ballot? \nProposition A – $230.7M (General Facilities)\n• Security upgrades\n• Classrooms & learning spaces\n• Fine arts\, athletics\, playgrounds\n• HVAC\, roofing\, repairs\n• Infrastructure & tech improvements \nProposition B – $55.3M (Stadium Facilities)\n• Lehnhoff Stadium upgrades\n• New turf at Corbett Junior High\n• Turf replacement at Steele High School \nProposition C – $9.1M (Technology Devices)\n• Student & staff devices (iPads\, Chromebooks\, etc.) \n🙌 Help make a difference—bring a friend and your energy. We’ll provide the plan! \n📩 Contact Jon Melendez – happy to chat!\n📞 Cell: 210-517-2352\n📧 Email: JMelendez@afphq.org \nRSVP or reach out with any questions!
